About

Hi! I'm Mira, a 2D animator and painter. My creations tend to gravitate towards dark humor, inviting everyone to laugh when they aren't sure they should. I can't help myself.

I developed my style while studying at Pratt Institute and Glasgow School of Art, characterized by varied line widths, flattened perspectives and dots. I'm a big dot enjoyer. But don't worry, I'm also very versatile — previously working on projects for a Brooklyn-based game design company Feral Cat Den, Historical Preservation Non-Profit Rethos and the Minnesota Historical Society, among others.

I'm working on a number of independent projects, and my animated short "Heaven's Escape" has been screened recently in Germany, England, United States, and Italy. Let me help you with your creative endeavors. I'm interested in opportunities in web-based work, TV, and feature films.

My day jobs have been in video editing, character design, concept art, animation, art-instruction, and commissioned digital and fine art. When I'm not creating, I'm bopping around NYC catching the emerging bands, searching for obscure art house cinema, and running 1 mile max at the park near my Brooklyn apartment.

Let's collaborate on something!
